Ms Sabina Rashid is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon practising in North West London. She was appointed as a consultant in 2018 and undertakes the full scope of breast surgery, including assessment and diagnosis, breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, and immediate or delayed breast reconstruction.
Ms Rashid completed her undergraduate medical training at Imperial College Medical School, where she also undertook an intercalated BSc in Health Sciences Management and was awarded the ASH Music Scholarship. Her initial postgraduate training took place in North West London, including roles as a research and teaching fellow at St Mark’s Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. She later continued surgical training and academic research in the West Midlands, completing an MD at the University of Birmingham through the NIHR Collaborative Network, with research focused on organisational culture and change in healthcare.
Ms Rashid returned to North West London in 2013 to complete higher surgical training in breast surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and The Royal Marsden, achieving FRCS (General Surgery) prior to her consultant appointment at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
Alongside clinical practice, Ms Rashid is actively involved in medical education. She serves as a Programme Director for postgraduate surgical training, contributes to undergraduate teaching and assessment at Imperial College London and Brunel University London, and mentors surgical trainees. She has also established a unit-based charity supporting cancer survivorship and post-treatment recovery.
