Mr Clive Kelty
About
Mr Kelty's main areas of interest are in upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery, particularly the management of gastro-oesophageal reflux and upper GI cancers (including Barrett's oesophagus). He is also interested in minimally invasive hernia and gallbladder surgery.
After gaining his medical qualifications from the University of Glasgow in 1994, Mr Kelty undertook surgical training including a year as a fellow at Concord Repatriation General Hospital in Sydney. In 2006, he gained a PhD for his work entitled 'Endoscopic Ablation of Barrett's Oesophagus'. He was initially appointed Consultant upper GI and general surgeon at Doncaster Royal Infirmary in 2007, before moving to Sheffield in 2013.
Mr Kelty has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has been a presenter at both national and international meetings. He is also a national cancer peer reviewer and is a member of the Joint Committee for Intercollegiate Examination Question Writers Panel
