About Miss Marion Jonas-Obichere
Miss Marion Jonas-Obichere is a Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist focus on colorectal surgery. She provides a comprehensive service across general and colorectal surgery, with expertise in gastrointestinal endoscopy as well as both conventional open surgery and advanced laparoscopic colorectal procedures. She welcomes referrals covering the full spectrum of general surgery and coloproctology. Miss Jonas-Obichere qualified in medicine from University of Sheffield and went on to complete a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine degree at University of Nottingham. She undertook her Higher Surgical Training on the North West Thames London rotation, after which she spent a year at St Mark’s Hospital in Harrow, first as a Resident Surgical Officer and subsequently as a Laparoscopic Fellow in Coloproctology. In October 2007, Miss Jonas-Obichere was appointed Consultant General and Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeon at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital, where she continues to practise. Her clinical interests include coloproctology, gastrointestinal endoscopy, hernia repair, inflammatory bowel disease, and laparoscopic surgery, and she is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred surgical care.
