She is also a Fellow of the Higher Academy of Education, having been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Hicks maintains an active academic portfolio as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on inflammatory bowel disease and the gut microbiome, including both commercial and investigator-led clinical trials.
