About

Dr. Lisa Davies is a compassionate and highly experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, dedicated to providing patient-centered, high-quality, and evidence-based care. With a holistic approach, she specialises in the assessment and management of emotional and behavioural challenges in young people. Dr. Davies is passionate about supporting young individuals and their families during their most vulnerable times, ensuring they receive tailored and thoughtful care.

Dr. Davies' professional journey began in South Africa, where she qualified in medicine before moving to the UK in 2001 to complete her psychiatry training at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). She subsequently specialised in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. Dr. Davies worked as an NHS outpatient consultant for over 14 years, first in Merton (2008–2016) and then in Kingston (2016–2022). In September 2022, she joined the Priory Hospital Roehampton as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, where she offers outpatient assessments and follow-up care.

In her previous roles, Dr. Davies developed extensive expertise as a community CAMHS consultant, collaborating closely with local mental health services, GPs, social workers, and educators. She has been involved in managing urgent referrals, conducting emergency assessments, prescribing and monitoring medications, and providing psychiatric consultation to multidisciplinary teams.

Dr. Davies places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and safe environment for young people and their families. She is sensitive to the practical and emotional challenges of seeking help, drawing on her personal insights as a mother. Her practice ensures that referrals are thoroughly reviewed to determine suitability for outpatient care, particularly in cases of high risk or complexity requiring multidisciplinary intervention.

Dr. Davies is committed to delivering a seamless, patient-centred CAMHS service and is proud to offer in-person initial assessments and, where suitable, online follow-ups to ensure flexible and accessible care for her patients.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
