About Mr Kevin Bryceland
Mr Kevin Bryceland is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip replacement surgery. He was appointed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a Consultant in 2018 and also practices privately at Elanic Hospital, one of the few centres in the UK offering day case hip replacement surgery. Mr Bryceland completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Edinburgh before undertaking higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics across the West of Scotland. He subsequently completed advanced fellowships in Nottingham and Glasgow, gaining extensive expertise in joint replacement techniques and perioperative care. His subspecialty interest lies in total hip arthroplasty, with a particular focus on improving patient recovery, comfort, and mobility through enhanced recovery and same-day discharge protocols. As a pioneer of day case hip replacement, Mr Bryceland has contributed to making hip surgery more accessible, efficient, and patient-friendly without compromising safety or outcomes. He is committed to evidence-based practice, innovation in orthopaedic surgery, and improving patient experience through minimally invasive approaches and early rehabilitation. His work reflects a strong dedication to advancing modern joint replacement techniques and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
