About
Dr. Goodchild holds positions at The London Clinic, Nuffield Health St Bartolomew's and The Royal London Hospital (within the NHS). He completed his specialised training, including a research degree, and pursued an advanced endoscopy fellowship at University College London (UCL) and University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He has published extensively in research, particularly in diagnostic and advanced interventional endoscopy. He has worked on topics related to bile duct and pancreatic diseases, such as autoimmune diseases, pancreatic cysts, and the early diagnosis and endoscopic treatment of cancer. He is an honourary lecturer at Queen Mary University in London.
In his practice, Dr. Goodchild addresses a wide range of common GI problems, including acid reflux, bloating, swallowing difficulties, changes in bowel habits (constipation and diarrhoea), rectal bleeding, and abdominal pain.
Dr. Goodchild's subspecialty interest lies in diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy (detection and removal of bowel polyps) as well ERCP Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), which play vital roles in diagnosing and treating conditions of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas.
