Dr. Elizabeth Shaw is a Structural and Interventional Cardiologist with a particular focus on chest pain, women's heart health, and valvular heart disease. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first female Cardiologist accredited to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantations (TAVIs) in Australia.

Currently serving as the Director of Cardiology at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Dr. Shaw also plays key roles at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Northern Beaches Hospital. With a deep commitment to education and research, she serves as a senior lecturer for The University of Sydney's Medical School. Dr. Shaw is actively involved in mentoring junior doctors and encouraging them to pursue their chosen specialties. She is a committee member for the Australia and New Zealand Endovascular Therapies (ANZET) meeting and a founding member of the Women in Interventional Cardiology of Australia and New Zealand group.

Dr. Shaw completed her specialist training at Royal North Shore Hospital and pursued interventional training at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. Subsequently, she completed a prestigious structural heart fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in the United States.

Dr. Shaw's expertise extends to various specialties within cardiology, including Interventional Cardiology, Angiography, Angioplasty, and Echocardiology. She has delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences on topics such as coronary artery disease, Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy, and the treatment of aortic stenosis and other structural heart disorders. Her dedication to advancing cardiovascular care and her pioneering achievements in the field make her a respected figure in the cardiology community.
