About Prof Timothy Jackson
Tim offers treatment for a range of eye diseases, with a particular focus on the surgical treatment of cataract and vitreoretinal disorders (retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction, macular hole), and the medical management of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy as well as other retinal disorders. He has over 25 years experience in ophthalmology – more than 14 of them as an NHS and private consultant. Tim is Professor of Retinal Research at King's College London. He is ranked in the top 0.12% of retinal experts worldwide (based on independent review of publications by Expertscape 2010-2021). He runs a multi-million pound, international retinal research portfolio, with well over 100 PubMed publications.
