During this time, Mr Din received numerous prizes and graduated with a distinction in medical sciences, and was also awarded a bachelor of science honours degree in Surgery and Anaesthesia. They were subsequently successful in obtaining a highly competitive sub-specialty ophthalmology placement in London, rotating through tertiary level eye hospitals. During the seven-year residency programme, Mr Din was awarded numerous awards for teaching, research and management. They became a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. This culminated in securing the cornea and refractive fellowship at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. Determined to gain further world-class experience, Mr Din was chosen as one of two international fellows for the highly reputable cornea and refractive fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Mr Din has a special interest in research and has numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading Ophthalmology journals. They regularly present their research at various national and international conferences on topics ranging from general ophthalmology, cornea and refractive surgery. Mr Din was awarded the “best ophthalmologist under 40 award“ at the International Society of Cornea, Stem Cells and Ocular Surface in Italy.
