He was later awarded a PhD for his work in medicine and a year later was awarded the prize of Young Investigator of the Year by the British Cardiac Society. He was given a prestigious fellowship at Toronto General and Mount Sinai Hospitals.
He Has an extensive research past, with numerous publications on nitric oxide, cardiac autonomic dysfunction, and heart failure. He continues to contribute to medical education working as a clinical SpR and as a Clinical Lecturer.
