About

Dr. Saba graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, as well as an MSc. He was then appointed lecturer at Cairo University Hospitals in 1999. In 2002, he completed an internship at SUNY-New York before completing his residency in internal medicine at The George Washington University. After a 3-year fellowship in cardiology, followed by another fellowship focused on cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Saba was appointed assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine in 2006. Since 2010 he has been working as a consultant cardiac electrophysiologist at St George's Hospital London where his research focuses on improving ventricular arrhythmia mapping and ablation strategies; he even holds a patent for locating the site of origin for these types of arrhythmias. Dr Sabas' expertise extends to both medical and ablative therapies for treating both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as having experience with implanting cardio rhythm devices. He is internationally recognized within this field and often acts as the faculty member for major conferences on this topic and is co-Director of the European Heart Rhythm Association Ventricular Tachycardia Course. On top of his work directing this course, he is also the founding chairman of the London Ventricular Tachyarrhythmia Symposium and Director of AVATAR (Advanced Ventricular Arrhythmia Training & Research) program established to help train employees on how better to act around/deal with patients who have undergone treatment relating to various forms of cardiac dysrhythmias.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
