Dr. Sohal is a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in arrhythmias. He is based at St George's Hospital, which serves as the regional referral unit for South West London and Surrey and has one of the busiest clinical practices in the region.

He completed general cardiology training in some of the busiest hospitals in London and the South Coast before pursuing sub-specialist training in electrophysiology and pacing in Brighton and St Thomas' Hospital in London. He was awarded a prestigious European fellowship to train in Belgium and this provided outstanding exposure to novel interventional techniques for managing both simple and complex heart rhythm disorders.
In addition to his clinical work, he has an active research profile. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University, London.
