About Dr Glyn Towlerton
Dr Glyn Towlerton is an Orthopaedic physician, based in London, UK, specialising in non-surgical treatments for the back, neck and leg. He has particular expertise in treating lumbar, sciatica and neck & shoulder pain and his special interests include spinal interventional procedures and injections, as well as spinal chord stimulation. Dr Towlerton completed his undergraduate trainnig in Medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and his postgraduate medical specialities at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital before becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1992. He also specialises in Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics and was awarded Fellowship to the Royal College of Anaesthetics in 1995. Dr Towlerton undertook fellowships in Sydney, Australia and Seattle, USA before taking up his substantive NHS appointment at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2000 where he led the Clinical Pain Managent Team for acute post-operative and chronic pain conditions. Dr Towlerton is also a Consultant to the Royal Brompton Hospital.
