Dr Mohjir Baloch is a Consultant in Pain Management with almost 20 years experience practising across several hospitals in the UK, including Guildford, Windsor and Farnham. His NHS base is at Frimley Park Hospital, where he serves as Lead Clinician, alongside an active private practice. Dr Baloch graduated with an MBBS from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Medical School, University of London, in 1997. He completed his early medical training through rotations at the Royal Free Hospital, Royal London Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He subsequently undertook specialist training in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine on the South Thames rotation, followed by a dedicated fellowship in Pain Medicine at St Bartholomew’s and Whipps Cross Hospitals.
He is a member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Association of Anaesthetists, the British Pain Society, the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the Faculty of Pain Medicine. He is part of the court of examiners for the FFPMRCA exam which is taken by those who wish to specialise in pain medicine. He is Regional adviser for Pain Medicine for Oxford deanery and supervisers the pain training of resident doctors for this school of anaesthesia.In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching and education. He organises an ultrasound-guided pain intervention course with international participation through the Royal College of Physicians and regularly lectures on interventional pain medicine both in the UK and abroad.
Dr Baloch specialises in interventional pain management and treats both acute and chronic pain conditions, including sports injuries, spinal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and neuropathic pain. His treatments include ultrasound-guided pain injections, trigger point injections, nerve pain patch therapies and other minimally invasive procedures aimed at improving function and quality of life. His goal is to help patients regain control over their pain and return to living more comfortably and confidently.
