He performs diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI or stenting) usually via a radial approach (in the wrist) for patients with angina and ischaemic heart disease. He is also familiar with the use of intravascular imaging, pressure wire assessment and other percutaneous procedures.
Dr Holroyd has training in centres of excellence in the UK and USA. He studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, before training at centres including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, the University Hospital of the North Midlands (UHNM, Stoke) and the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA.
