Dr Anna Forbes is a UK-trained medical doctor specialising in Integrative Medicine. This is an increasingly popular approach that combines the best of Conventional Medicine, Natural Medicine and Functional Medicine. Dr. Forbes qualified in 2006 and left NHS work in 2011. She has trained extensively since 2008 in different types of Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Mind-Body Medicine, Nutrition, Functional Medicine, Intravenous Nutrient Therapy, Plasmolifting and Scenar therapy.
She also practises Bio-chemical Individualism, which uses a scientific approach to body typing, providing personalised diet and supplement protocols according to body type. The body type that we have determines our disease susceptibility. Different body types lack certain enzymes that require specific combinations of food groups and enzyme supplementation.
She is particulary passionate about the immune system and the gut-brain axis. Dr Forbes is one of the few Doctors in the UK offering Micro-immunotherapy, a natural and non-invasive protocol for immune system stablisation and optimisation.
Dr. Forbes works with all chronic (long-term) disease using an Integrative and Functional Medicine approach to assessment and treatment. Typically her patients have either hit a brick wall within the conventional medicine framework, are looking for a drug-free approach to treatment or simply want improved outcomes by using a combination of conventional and Integrative Medicine.
