About
Dr David Offord is Vermilion’s Practice Principal and a Specialist Oral Surgeon, who treats patients at Vermilion’s main clinic on 24 St John’s Road in Edinburgh and its clinic in Kelso’s Pinnaclehill Estate.
Dr Offord founded Vermilion in 2011, inspired to name his clinic after the thin line that borders a person's lips. He enjoys running his own practice and the blend of clinical and business development that every day brings.
Before Vermilion, Dr Offord spent six years working in general dental practices in Scotland, Singapore and Australia.
Academic career
Dr David Offord graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1994. In 2001, he attained the MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and in 2007 he was recognised by the General Dental Council as a specialist in oral surgery.
In 2008, he obtained the Diploma in Conscious Sedation at the University of Newcastle, which enables him to offer sedation to ease nervous patients through their surgery.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
