About Mr Charles Corbin
Mr Charles Corbin is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. He specialises in the treatment of upper limb disorders, including the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist. Mr Corbin completed his advanced orthopaedic training in the Wessex region and shortly after earned fellowship status with the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Corbin's professional journey includes tenure at reputable institutions such as Hampshire Hospitals in Basingstoke, Southampton General Hospital, and Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, as well as previous service at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. Following his higher specialist training, Mr Corbin pursued a twelve-month shoulder and elbow fellowship in Bournemouth, further enriching his skills. Notably, he successfully obtained the British Orthopaedic Association Transitional Fellowship in hand and upper limb surgery at the Wirral Teaching Hospitals under the mentorship of Mr Alfred Morris and Mr Vijay Bhalaik, delving into advanced training in elbow, shoulder, hand, and wrist disorders. His professional journey also includes a stint as a visiting fellow at the Derby Pulvertaft Hand Unit. Prior to his current role, Mr Corbin contributed his expertise as a consultant at Warrington and Halton Hospitals and the Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He holds a master's degree in trauma surgery, reflecting a keen interest in the management of traumatic upper limb injuries. Furthermore, he is dedicated to education, currently serves as an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor, a named supervisor for junior doctors in training, and has imparted knowledge on upper limb topics within the Mersey Orthopaedic Training rotation.
