Dr. Yahya Amar Mari is a highly experienced Consultant in Pediatrics, dedicated to delivering world-class care with a compassionate approach. Combining advanced expertise in pediatric and neonatal diagnostics, he ensures exceptional treatment for every child. He is currently part of the KidsHeart Medical Center Abu Dhabi branch, bringing his specialist skills closer to families in the region.
Dr. Mari earned his MBBS in 1997 and completed his Master’s degree in Pediatrics in 2002 at Damascus University, Syria. That same year, he became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and also obtained certification from the Arab Board of Pediatrics and the Arab Board of Medical Specialisations.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Mari has held numerous senior positions, including Pediatric Consultant at NMC Royal Khalifa City Hospital (2016–2025) and NMC Day Surgery Centre (2014–2016). He has also worked extensively as a Pediatric Specialist in several hospitals, including the Maternity and Children's Hospital, Alkamel Hospital, and Omayyah Hospital in Saudi Arabia and Syria, as well as serving as a Pediatric Resident at the University Children’s Hospital in Damascus.
He holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS), ensuring the highest standards of emergency and critical care.
Dr. Mari’s scope of practice covers the management of acute respiratory diseases, growth and development monitoring, bedwetting, childhood infections, pediatric allergies such as asthma, eczema, and urticaria, immunizations, nutritional concerns including failure to thrive and obesity, gastrointestinal conditions such as constipation and chronic abdominal pain, neonatal jaundice, and childhood anemia.
