Dr Wiece Koniman is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Homerton Hospital in London, where she currently serves as Lead for the Labour Ward. Dr Koniman graduated in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2006 and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She completed her specialist training across several London hospitals, including the Royal Free, Barnet, North Middlesex, Queen’s (Romford) and Homerton. She was appointed as a consultant at Homerton in 2016 and continues to serve there today. She has also held several leadership and educational roles, including Lead for Antenatal Care, RCOG College Tutor, Educational Supervisor and Medical Appraiser.
In addition to her NHS role, Dr Koniman sees patients privately on Monday mornings at Fertility Plus, 92 Harley Street, offering comprehensive preconception counselling and early pregnancy care. She works closely with women to optimise their health before conception and address underlying medical concerns to improve fertility and pregnancy outcomes. Her approach combines clinical excellence with genuine empathy, creating a supportive environment where women feel heard, informed and confident throughout their fertility and pregnancy journey.
