About
Before joining Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, Dr Patel was the Lead Psychologist for personality disorders in the NHS for Central North West London (CNWL) for 5 years. He also worked at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill and Priory Hospital St Johns. He is currently working towards being a Non-Medical Responsible Clinician at University College London (UCL).
At Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, Dr Patel is the Lead Psychologist for the private therapy service. He has expertise in the assessment and management of a broad range of mental health conditions, including the following:

• Alcohol rehabilitation

• Eating disorders
• Anxiety
• OCD
• PTSD
• Perinatal depression
• Sleep disorders
• Personality disorders
Dr Patel has over 10 years of experience in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) for people who struggle managing their emotions, as well as Radically Open DBT (RO DBT) to treat patients struggling with interpersonal difficulties. He also has expertise in schema therapy and eye movement desensitisation reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
