Seine Expertise wurde durch ein renommiertes Stipendium für Schulterchirurgie unter der Leitung von einem der innovativsten und anerkanntesten Schulterchirurgen weltweit, Dr. Laurent Lafosse am Alps Surgery Institute in Annecy, Frankreich, weiter vertieft. Diese Ausbildung verbesserte seine Fähigkeiten in fortgeschrittenen Techniken der Schulterchirurgie erheblich.

Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Wien war Dr. Lanz als Schulterspezialist und Schulterchirurg zunächst am Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Schwestern in Wien und später als Leiter des Spezialteams für Schulter am renommierten Orthopädischen Spital Wien / Speising tätig. Im April 2019 eröffnete er das Sportorthopädie Zentrum in Wien 13, Hietzing.

Dr. Lanzs Beitrag erstreckt sich auf die akademische und berufliche Sphäre. Er ist ein gefragter Vortragender auf internationalen Konferenzen und Schulungen für das Schultergelenk und die Schulterchirurgie, hält informative Präsentationen und führt Workshops und Schulungskurse auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene durch.
