Dr Tarek Hazwani is a highly skilled Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant and Associate Professor dedicated to providing exceptional care for critically ill children. With a profound commitment to advancing medical practices, he combines his extensive clinical expertise with a passion for medical education. Dr Hazwani is recognised for his reassuring approach, ensuring that young patients and their families receive the highest standard of compassionate care during challenging times. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Hazwani is a certified Professional Trainer with a strong focus on simulation education. He specialises in critical care simulation, soft skills development, communication, and leadership training. His dedication to quality improvement in healthcare has led to the successful implementation of standardised sedation protocols and enhanced patient safety measures. By integrating effective educational strategies into clinical practice, he mentors fellow healthcare professionals to excel in high-pressure environments. Dr Hazwani earned his Diploma of Medicine from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in 2000, followed by the Arab Board of Paediatrics qualification in 2005. He further advanced his expertise by completing a Paediatric Critical Care Fellowship in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and a specialised programme in Simulation Education at Bryan College of Health Sciences in the United States. He remains an active member of the International Paediatric Simulation Society and the Saudi Society for Simulation in Healthcare, reflecting his ongoing dedication to his specialty.
