Prior to joining St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, Dr Mastracci worked as a consultant at the Cleveland Clinic and held a position as assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University for seven years. She has also served as Clinical Director for an aortic team at a London Teaching Hospital.

Dr Mastracci has training in clinical epidemiology and has a strong focus on research related to clinical outcomes of aortic disease. Her research interests include endovascular aneurysm repair, stent graft design and development, the genetics of aortic disease, social determinants of health, and the advancement of new intraoperative imaging techniques. Her recent research projects include the use of deformation tools in the operating room and advancing awareness of the impact of social deprivation on outcomes after aneurysm surgery. Dr Mastracci is a member of several professional organisations and has published her research in various medical journals.
