Dr Journeaux studied at the University of London, graduating in 1986. They undertook orthopaedic training in Bristol and Yorkshire, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995. In 1996, they completed Fellowship training in complex hip and knee replacement as the Bone and Cartilage transplantation Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. They are a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and hold CPD and Certified Independent Medical Examining accreditation.
Dr Journeaux is dedicated to offering their patients the latest in digital surgery by using the VELYS orthopaedic surgical robot for Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA), where appropriate. Robotic-assisted procedures are generally less invasive and allow high surgical precision.
Dr Journeaux has considerable expertise in medicolegal work, preparing assessments and reports for Workcover/Personal Injury and Medical Negligence cases. They have undertaken medicolegal work since 1997 in the UK and Australia.
