About
Dr. Hawe pursued his medical undergraduate training at the University of Glasgow in 2004. Following his qualification, he gained valuable experience in both Scotland and Australia. During this time, he specialised in Emergency Medicine and also had exposure to other medical disciplines, including Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, and Intensive Care. Dr. Hawe has pursued additional training to enhance his skills and knowledge, including courses in basic surgical skills, expedition medicine, and advanced life support instruction.
In 2008, Dr. Hawe returned to Northern Ireland to complete his GP training. He has now served as a GP partner in a large practice within the NHS for over a decade. Since 2018, Dr. Hawe has held the role of GP trainer, where he plays a role in training and mentoring aspiring GPs.
Dr. Hawe's current roles include being a GP Partner in Coleraine and a GP Trainer with NIMDTA (Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Training Agency). In addition to his medical degree, he has completed a BSc (Med Sci) in Cancer Studies from the University of Glasgow, and a Diploma in Mental Health from Queen’s University Belfast. He is also a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
