Dr. Shweta joined Allied Medical Center in October 2016, bringing more than 19 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging to the Company. Her primary focus with Allied Medical Center is leading Breast Services, which includes diagnostic, screening and interventional services. In parallel, she maintains a keen interest in Women’s imaging, Musculoskeletal MRI and Neuroradiology.
She is the head of the Breast Unit with extensive experience in reading Digital Mammography, Tomosynthesis, and Contrast Enhanced Mammography & Breast MRI. She performs targeted breast ultrasound and various interventional procedures that include Breast Core Biopsies with marker placement, Fine Needle Aspirations, Vacuum Assisted Biopsies, Stereotactic Biopsies, Contrast Enhanced Mammography Biopsies and Pre-Operative Guide Wire Placement.
Dr. Shweta obtained her FRCR (Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiology) qualification from London, UK as well as attaining her European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR). She is also an active ACR (American College of Radiology) and ESR (European Society of Radiology). In 2021, she was selected as one of only 6 EDiR holders to form the “EDiR Holders” team to create publications to help other radiologists prepare for the EDiR.
In 2022, Dr. Shweta attained her European Diploma in Breast Imaging (EDBI) endorsed by the European Society of Radiology and European qualification for breast imagers. In October 2022, she was selected as a Committee Member of EUSOBI (European Society of Breast Imaging) International Relations Committee, representing the UAE.
She has various publications in indexed journals and is a keen speaker at breast cancer awareness events.
She is Fluent in English and Hindi.
