About Dr Shreshth Dharm Datta
Dr. Shreshth Dharm-Datta is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine with over two decades of expertise in managing complex medical conditions across various specialties, including neurorehabilitation, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal medicine, and sport and exercise medicine. He graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2000 and subsequently joined the Royal Air Force Medical Services. Dr. Dharm-Datta completed his specialty training in Rehabilitation Medicine within the London Deanery, gaining invaluable experience at leading institutions such as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore for spinal cord injury rehabilitation and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square for neurorehabilitation. He also trained at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court, where he was later appointed as a consultant in 2016. Following the relocation of DMRC to Stanford Hall in 2018, he continues to practice as a consultant there, managing patients in the domains of complex trauma, neurorehabilitation, and spinal cord rehabilitation. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dharm-Datta holds two MSc degrees: one in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London and another in Health Informatics from University College London (UCL). His interest in health technology has driven him to explore the integration of virtual wards and wearable technologies, striving to enhance patient care through innovative solutions. Dr. Dharm-Datta is a member of several esteemed professional bodies, including the British Society for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (BSPRM), the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM), and the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS). He holds memberships by examination from the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS Eng) and the European Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (UEMS PRM).
