Dr Sean Gomes
About
Dr Gomes gained his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2004 before going on to complete a Masters of Research at the University of New South Wales. He then undertook his cardiac residency at the Prince of Wales Hospital after which he spent three years pursuing a special interest in electrophysiology. During this time he was awarded two fellowships - one at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and another at the renowned Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in the UK.
Dr Gomes also has a specific interest in the challenging and highly specialized process of pacemaker and defibrillator lead removal. He has written multiple articles on pacemaker and defibrillator lead removal, as well as atrial fibrillation ablation and other areas of cardiology. Dr Gomes has also been invited to give presentations at international cardiology conferences and is currently a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales.
