Mr Saheel Mukhtar is a Consultant Urological Surgeon managing a broad range of urological conditions. He practices at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, specialising in prostate cancer, urinary infections, and the treatment of kidney stones. He is a graduate of the University of Southampton, where Mr Mukhtar earned both his medical degree and an honours degree in biomedical sciences, receiving prestigious awards for his academic achievements. His advanced training included rotations at renowned institutions including the Royal Marsden and a fellowship in Perth, Western Australia, where he gained expertise in managing high stone burdens.
Mr Mukhtar treats urinary symptoms, benign prostate enlargement, and incontinence with holistic and minimally invasive techniques, including advanced laser therapies. He regularly performs Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) and greenlight laser. He is also skilled in managing urological cancers, serving as a Cancer Lead and MDT Chair. Beyond clinical practice, he contributes to medical education as Lead for Basic Surgical Skills Courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
