About Ryan Ferrie
Ryan Ferrie is a physiotherapist at ESP Physio with a strong foundation in sports science, performance, and rehabilitation. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of the West of Scotland as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition, and an MSc in Sports Science and Medicine. In 2025, he completed his MSc in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University. Ryan brings over 10 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, combining performance-driven training principles with evidence-based rehabilitation. He previously worked within the sports science team at Stenhousemuir Football Club’s first team, supporting elite athletes with their physical preparation and nutritional strategies for competition. In addition to his academic qualifications, Ryan has further training in massage therapy, functional integrated cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation, peripheral and spinal mobilisation, and kinesiology taping. Outside the clinic, Ryan remains highly active. He regularly competes in HYROX events, half and full marathons, and road cycling races, reflecting his passion for performance and endurance sport.
