About
Mr Bhogal continued their research, gaining peer-reviewed funding, and enhanced this surgical training with sabbaticals at world-leading institutions such as The University of Heidelberg, Germany and The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. They were elected as Fellow to the Faculty of Surgical Trainers in 2023 and are an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Bhogal is continuing their research interests at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) and National Institute for Health and Care Research Biomedical Research Centre, where they are part of the faculty and co-lead of the Upper GI Surgical Oncology Research Group. They have currently published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and several book chapters.
