Assoc.-Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Richard Lass ist Facharzt für Orthopädie und Traumatologie an der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie, AKH Wien sowie Oberarzt im Endoprothetikspezialteam und Senior Hauptoperateur, Endocert. Dr. Lass ist besonders im Gebiet der Endoprothetik spezialisiert.Dr. Lass schloss im Jahr 2000 sein Medizinstudium an der Universität Wien abgeschlossen, während seiner Studienzeit war er zudem im Ausland, am Royal Melbourne Hospital in der Abteilung für Gefäßchirurgie tätig. 2001 absolvierte Dr. Lass die Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Allgemeinmedizin im Privatspital Goldenes Kreuz. Seit 2018 ist er zudem Facharzt für Orthopädie und orthopädische Chirurgie. 2014 erhielt Richard Lass die Venia docendi, die Lehrbefugnis als Privatdozent und 2016 legte er die ÖÄK Facharztprüfung Orthopädie und Traumatologie erfolgreich ab.Dr. Lass ist seit 2008 als Facharzt und stellvertretender Leiter des Endoprothesen-Teams der Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie der Medizinischen Universität Wien tätig. Seit seinem Beginn hat er mehr als 1000 Totalendoprothesen als Erst-Operateur eingesetzt.Neben seiner Auszeichnung als Privatdozent wurde Dr. Lass 2015 außerdem „Researcher of the Month" der Medizinischen Universität Wien und 2017 durch den „Medizinisch-Wissenschaftlichen Fonds des Bürgermeisters der Bundeshauptstadt Wien" ausgezeichnet. Richard Lass hat an diverses wissenschaftlichen Publikationen im Fachbereich der Hüft- und Knieendoprothetik mitgewirkt, übernimmt die Reviewtätigkeit verschiedener medizinischer Publikationen und hält internationale Vorträge.
