Dr Raquel finished a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University Hospital Marques de Valdecilla in Cantabria, Spain, and was awarded a specialist degree in obstetrics and gynaecology by the Spanish Ministry of Health in 1998 that was recognized throughout the European Union.
She has more than 10 years of experience as a specialist in a UNICEF-designated Baby Friendly hospital where she worked in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit, oversaw the Obstetrics Ultrasound Department, and served as a consultant on breastfeeding.
She is certified to do fetal anomalies screenings in accordance with the treatment standards set forth by the Fetal Medicine Foundation.
She also has extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy and has trained medical professionals in the management of the human papillomavirus, colposcopy, and cervix pathology.
