Dr Ramesh Sahathevan is a highly esteemed Consultant Neurologist at Precision Health with over 20 years of experience. Dr Sahathevan completed his medical degree at the National University of Malaysia in 1997 before moving to Australia. After relocating, he earned a prestigious PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2013 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016. Dr Sahathevan is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

Dr Sahathevan welcomes referrals in a wide range of neurology domains, including headache, migraine, epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, cognitive disorders and dementia, neurodegenerative disorders, neuropathies and neuromuscular disorders.

Dr Sahathevan has an active role in research and remains engaged in national and international research trials. He holds professional memberships with esteemed organisations such as the Global Burden of Disease Network and the Lancet Commission on Stroke in low and middle-income countries. He is also a faculty member of the Lundbeck Foundation Neurotorium and his previous position as a co-chair of the World Stroke Organisation Education Committee.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Sahathevan is an Associate Professor at Deakin University, based at the Rural School of Medicine in Ballarat. He has also contributed to the education of aspiring medical professionals at institutions like the National University of Malaysia, Australian National University and University of Melbourne.
