Since 2008, Professor Philip Drew has been working as a consultant general surgeon at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. He also has a special role as the honorary chair in surgery from Hull York Medical School.
His professional responsibilities include being a dedicated examiner for Imperial College London examinations and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a proud recipient of the annual Patey prize from the Surgical Research Society. He has also been awarded a Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons. The Hunterian Society, which was founded in 1819, is a society of London-based physicians and dentists.
