About

Dr. Pratima Singh is an accomplished psychiatrist with extensive clinical experience. She completed her training within the prestigious Maudsley training scheme and has held various roles, including a consultant psychiatrist position at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. Dr. Singh attained membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2008 and has been listed on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register as a specialist in treating adults with diverse mental health conditions since 2013.

Dr. Singh's clinical interests revolve around exploring the underlying causes of mental health conditions. She is passionate about designing comprehensive psychological and biomedical protocols that take into account each individual's unique circumstances and needs.

In addition to her conventional psychiatric training, Dr. Singh has received training under the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is dedicated to integrating the strengths of conventional psychiatry with a deep exploration of underlying factors such as nutrition, hormones, stress, trauma, toxins, and infections that may contribute to chronic mental health symptoms. Currently, Dr. Singh serves as an adult and community psychiatrist for the Hertfordshire NHS Partnership Foundation Trust.

Dr. Singh is also recognised as the founder of the UK's first functional medicine psychiatry clinic, where she applies her holistic approach to patient care. She is also a sought-after speaker on the role of nutrition in mental health in the UK. She continues to advocate for lifestyle-based interventions to enhance outcomes in mental health, emphasising the importance of addressing root causes for improved well-being.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
