He is renowned for his proficiency in nasal and sleep apnea surgery, having performed groundbreaking procedures such as the first robotic transoral surgery in Spain in 2011 and pioneering a series of hypoglossal nerve stimulation treatments for obstructive sleep apnea.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Peter has conducted an extensive number of surgeries annually, specializing in endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery, often collaborating with neurosurgery and ophthalmology teams for comprehensive care. Currently practicing at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai, he is celebrated for his innovative approaches to treating ear, nose, and throat conditions, particularly those impacting sleep quality.
Dr. Peter holds a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery (PhD) from Spain. He obtained his Medical Doctor Degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and is European Board Certified in Otorhinolaryngology. He is also recognized as a Sleep Specialist by the Spanish Sleep Society and the European Sleep Research Society.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Peter is actively involved in research and education, having published numerous studies and serving as Chairman of Courses on Sleep Apnea Surgery in Spain and Italy. He also serves as a Principal Investigator in recent projects at the University of Navarra.
