About
He graduated from The University of Leeds and subsequently trained in Yorkshire, where he attained an MD "1H NMR spectrometric identification of biomarkers in renal transplantation". He moved to Manchester for higher surgical training and then spent a period of time in The Netherlands. Paul has over 30 publications and has presented his work nationally and internationally.
Paul is Clinical Head of Division for GI medicine and surgery at Manchester Foundation Trust
He works with other specialists from gastroenterology, ENT and oesophageal physiologists interested in the management of foregut disease, namely reflux surgery through a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.
Paul covers all aspects of general and emergency surgery, with a subspecialty interest in reflux/heartburn, regurgitation LINX, RefluxStop, oesophageal dysmotility. dysphagia, hernia – including hiatus, incisional, epigastric/ventral and groin, gallstones and endoscopy.
