Beyond advanced endoscopic procedures, his practice also covers a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders, including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (heartburn), bloating, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr Ahmad studied medicine at University College London, graduating with distinction in both clinical sciences and clinical practice, along with a First-Class Honours intercalated degree in Pharmacology. He received the A.J. Clark Prize for the best overall academic performance and was named to the prestigious Dean’s List.
He went on to complete an academic endoscopy fellowship and earned a PhD at UCL, where he developed pioneering artificial intelligence software for the early detection of gastrointestinal cancers, technology that is now used in clinical settings. He remains actively involved in leading-edge research at the Division of Surgery and Interventional Sciences and the Surgical Robot Vision Research Group at UCL.
