Since retiring from full-time NHS practice in 2022, he has developed a career that includes private psychiatric work alongside roles in coaching, mentoring, mediation, medicolegal reporting and organisational consultancy. He has also expanded his services to patients in London.
Dr Ojo’s clinical interests include occupational psychiatry, mental wellbeing, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, and psychosexual difficulties. He also has a particular interest in mental health issues influenced by religious, spiritual and cultural factors. His approach to care is grounded in a bio-psycho-social model, integrating psychological, emotional and behavioural perspectives to support holistic patient outcomes.
He is also a qualified coach, leadership mentor, accredited mediator and organisational consultant, and has undertaken additional training in behavioural design for health to enhance his therapeutic approach. His philosophy centres on supporting patients through a “head, heart and hands” framework, focusing on thoughts, emotions and actions to facilitate meaningful change.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Ojo has held senior leadership roles, including serving as a Medical Director for over 12 years. He is a Senior Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and currently serves as Associate Registrar for Policy Support at the Royal College. He is also Section 12 approved and a trained DoLS assessor.
He has contributed to academic work through publications in leadership and management and continues to engage in ongoing professional development.
