Dr Nirusha Kumaran

Dr Nirusha Kumaran is a UK-trained General Practitioner with a specialist clinical focus on functional medicine, longevity medicine, and women’s health. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BM BS) from the University of Nottingham in 2011 and has over a decade of experience in preventative, personalised, and integrative healthcare. Dr Kumaran is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and currently practises in the UAE as a Visiting Doctor at Menovivre Clinic, the UAE’s first dedicated women’s health clinic. Menovivre specialises in functional medicine approaches to women’s health, hormone optimisation, and midlife wellbeing. Alongside her clinical role, she also serves as Medical Director at Menovivre, helping to shape evidence-based, patient-centred models of care. In addition, Dr Kumaran is the Chief Medical Officer at Founders Health, where she works at the intersection of clinical medicine, longevity science, and digital health innovation. Across her leadership roles, she is actively involved in developing modern healthcare pathways that prioritise prevention, early intervention, and long-term health optimisation. Clinically, Dr Kumaran has a strong interest in women’s hormonal health, including perimenopause, menopause, premenstrual syndromes (PMS), and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Her wider expertise includes longevity and healthy ageing, stress and energy optimisation, gut health and the microbiome, and the prevention and management of chronic disease through root-cause, functional medicine principles. She is also certified in peptide therapy, applying this training within a regulated, evidence-informed framework as part of personalised health optimisation and longevity-focused care. Dr Kumaran takes a holistic and data-driven approach to care, integrating conventional medical practice with advanced diagnostics, lifestyle medicine, and personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s biology and life stage. Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in public health education, contributing to media, podcasts, and patient education platforms to improve awareness, understanding, and access to preventative and functional healthcare—particularly in the area of women’s health and midlife medicine.
