Dr Nicole Stamatopoulos is a Gynecologist and Obstetrician with practices in Randwick and Bondi Junction, NSW. She is passionate about all areas of obstetrics and gynaecology including early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound. Dr Stamatopoulos gained her Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, before going on to study medicine. Her initial training was undertaken at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick and, following this, she completed a fellowship at Nepean Hospital's acute gynaecology, early pregnancy, and advanced endosurgical unit.
Dr Stamatopoulos was awarded a grant in 2019 to complete a PhD looking at causes of miscarriage. She has authored a number of articles in this field as well as in the area of sexually transmitted infections and endometriosis. Dr Stamatopoulos also spends time as a clinical associate lecturer teaching medical students at the University of Sydney as well as the Nepean Clinical School in Women and Children's Health. In 2018, she received an excellence award for her effort and passion in educating students in the field of gynaecology.
Dr Stamatopoulos is hugely passionate about what she does, and she has a blog dedicated to providing information on subjects that may be slightly awkward for women to discuss.
