About
He is a highly qualified psychiatrist with an extensive research background, as well as completing BSc in psychology and holding postgraduate qualifications in Research, Mental Health Law and Teaching. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery at University College London in 2001. In 2005, he became a member of the reputable Royal College of Psychiatrists, and he became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2009. He has also completed a Certificate of Advanced Study of Learning and Teaching (CASLAT) from Imperial College London.
In 2021, Dr Cheesman was recognised for his leadership skills by receiving an NHS Leadership Academy Award in Executive Healthcare Leadership.
