Dr Nancy Abdulrazak Dakdouk is a licensed Clinical Dietitian and Nutritionist with more than 14 years of experience in medical nutrition therapy, bariatric nutrition management and lifestyle modification. She has worked across leading healthcare institutions in the United Arab Emirates and Syria, supporting patients with chronic disease, metabolic conditions and weight management.
Dr Dakdouk currently serves as Head of the Nutrition Department at Cosmesurge in the UAE, where she supervises a team of clinical dietitians and oversees nutrition services across multiple branches. In this role she manages hospital referrals from internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics, delivering comprehensive dietary assessments and ongoing follow-up. She is particularly experienced in bariatric nutrition care, managing patients before and after surgery and overseeing structured follow-up programmes for up to 12 months. Her work has contributed to a high success rate among bariatric patients in achieving target weight and improved metabolic outcomes, including better HbA1c levels, lipid profiles and glucose control.
Earlier in her career, Dr Dakdouk worked as a Clinical Dietitian at Heart Beat Medical Center and One Day in the UAE, where she provided tailored nutrition therapy for patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, while also helping develop nutrition programmes aligned with national regulations and clinical standards. She also worked in the Diabetes and Internal Medicine Unit at the Advanced Center for Daycare Surgery, supporting patients with chronic metabolic conditions through personalised dietary plans and education initiatives that improved treatment adherence and follow-up engagement.
Dr Dakdouk began her professional career in Damascus, Syria, working in cardiology and multidisciplinary clinical settings where she developed and monitored heart-healthy nutrition programmes for patients with cardiovascular disease and led community education initiatives focused on preventive nutrition.
She holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Jordan and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Kalamoon in Syria. She has also completed additional training in clinical nutrition, diabetes, renal and cardiac diet planning, paediatric nutrition and Basic Life Support, reflecting her continued commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
