He graduated MBBS from St George’s, University of London in 2007 with a First-Class BSc in Physiology, then undertook formal research at Imperial College London leading to a PhD in weight-loss science. His higher surgical training was in South London, mainly at St George’s Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital, focusing on upper GI and hepatobiliary surgery, followed by a high-volume bariatric fellowship at Homerton Hospital in London.
