Lucinda is an experienced therapist who has a holistic approach treating her patients, respecting all aspects of their personality as well as their symptoms. She has always had an interest in physical fitness, in particular running. This, and the experience of nursing an elderly friend, led to a change of direction from creative industries into completing a science foundation course and graduating in Physiotherapy at King's College London.

She has since focused on her particular interest in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal dysfunction using a variety of sports massage and soft tissue techniques, working in association with well known London gyms and health centres, including Twenty Two Training, Clapham Common Clinic and Zom Therapies.

Lucinda is passionate about treating the whole person, not just an injury or a symptom. At the end of her first year of university she was diagnosed with cancer. From this she learned two important things that have influenced her own practice. Firstly, that clinical excellence combined with kindness is both rare and therapeutic; and secondly, (when her oncologist, shifting uneasily in his chair, said "positive people do better....."), that your mind will influence your health.

Consequently, she has extended her knowledge and expertise with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy to help patients manage chronic pain issues, anxiety, depression and/or overcome negative patterns of thinking and behaviour that affect their wellbeing.

She is also a qualified Acupuncturist and uses this to treat pain, muscular-skeletal issues and anxiety.

Using her knowledge of physiotherapy, therapeutic soft-tissue techniques, acupuncture and hypnotherapy, separately or in combination, she works with her clients to achieve positive and successful outcomes.

When she has time Lucinda likes to paint in her Brixton studio, ride her motorbike, go on long runs in preparation for her next marathon (surely not?!), see films, plays, opera and music, or simply eat out with family and friends.
