About Mr Stuart Clark
Mr Stuart Clark graduated in Dentistry from Edinburgh in 1985 before starting his Oral and Maxillofacial posts in Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Aberdeen. He qualified in medicine from Aberdeen in 1994 and completed basic surgical training in Aberdeen and Edinburgh and higher surgical training in Newcastle, Sunderland, and Middlesbrough. He treats a broad range of oral and maxillofacial and oral surgery conditions of the mouth, face, jaws, and neck. Some of these include dentoalveolar surgery, soft tissue lesions of the mouth and lips, bone grafting and dental implants, salivary gland surgery, and surgical dermatology. Mr Stuart Clark specialises in surgery for cosmetic and functional facial deformity and disproportion and the treatment of facial trauma. In his NHS practice, he completes up to 1,000 new consultations per year. He has undertaken jaw deformity surgery for approximately 80 jaws and is responsible for the treatment of over 300 facial injuries per year. In addition to dental and surgical fellowships, he has a Diploma in Medical Education and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. He is a Council member and Trustee of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the first OMFS surgeon outside Scotland to be elected to Council. He was formerly the Training Programme Director for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Chair of the Specialist Surgical Board for OMFS for the North West. He hosts, supervises, and examines nationally and internationally for MRCS, and examines for specialist OMFS and MFDS examinations. Mr Stuart Clark is Clinical Lead for OMFS for Manchester Royal Infirmary and regularly instructs in advanced trauma and critical care.
