Mr Michael Lamyman is a consultant plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgeon based at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with private practices at The Manor Hospital, Circle Reading Hospital, and OneWelbeck. Mr Lamyman gained his medical qualifications in 2001 before completing a national training programme in plastic surgery. He went on to undertake the Royal College of Surgeons examinations in plastic surgery in 2013 and continued his training through a fellowship in microsurgery and limb reconstruction in Bristol and a hand fellowship in Oxford. In 2014, he was awarded a postgraduate diploma in hand surgery and was subsequently appointed consultant at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Lamyman is actively involved in medical education and training, and he has published scientific articles in the field, as well as contributed to chapters of the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Hand Surgery.
Outside of work, Mr Lamyman enjoys keeping fit and competes in marathons and triathlon events.
